Pandas and more now in Minecraft Bedrock

A bonus update for December? IT'S UNHEARD OF. Well, that’s not true, but it’s still great news! Ahead of next year’s Village and Pillage update, we wanted to have a small release with some great new features. This update will be available today for Minecraft on Xbox One, Windows 10 Edition, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch! Playing Minecraft on Java and want to try these features too? NEW FOR THIS UPDATE

The panda! This black-and-white delight is forward-rolling into Minecraft. It’s a new mob that’s cute, cuddly, fiercely protective of its children and crazy for bamboo. Just like me! Well, I don’t have any children, but I am furiously protective of my weird bamboo collection, so we’re basically the same.

As if that wasn’t enough, this update also introduces all the redesigned cats, scaffolding and bamboo! But that’s enough, right? It’s not? Seriously? Wow. You lot are greedy. Greedier than a panda that just spawned next to my bamboo garden…

But you’re also as lucky as a panda spawning next to my doomed garden, because you can try the new crossbow and its enchantments in this update! You’ll have to use the ‘activate Experimental Gameplay’ toggle in the world settings to use it. Fire with care!

Realms also now offers a subscription for Xbox players which will make it easier to keep your Realm from expiring. Speaking of Realms, we finally fixed the bug where blazes could one-shot kill you.
