Mangrove trees are coming to Minecraft, but their impact on both the Overworld and the real world is much bigger than meets the eye. Mangroves pull more carbon dioxide (CO2) than almost any other tree in the world. We’ve lost almost half of the mangrove forests that once covered the Earth, but together we can build a better world by learning and taking action.

The Lead Researcher of The Mangrove Restoration Project needs you for a very important mission. Climate change has damaged a once thriving mangrove forest—but all is not lost. Using the base’s cutting edge-technology and research updates, you can plant new trees to lower the CO2 levels and save the ecosystem!
Partnership with The Nature Conservancy
Together with The Nature Conservancy, we want to build a better world by spreading awareness and raising money to protect and restore mangrove forests. Mojang Studios will be donating $200,000 to this cause—and if you want to get involved, tune into the individual charity streams hosted by Minecraft creators StacyPlays, Grian, Wyld, and AuthenticGames on July 7!
